Acolytes' Guild
St. Paul's Acolyte Guild is a servant ministry of the young people of the parish who serve the clergy during the church services. Acolytes are composed of the servers who serve the celebrant at the altar, the crucifers who carry a cross in the processions, and the torch-bearers who carry the candles in the processions. The acolytes all have a part in assisting with the details of the liturgy and provide a model for the congregation. Young people (boys and girls) in 6th through 12th grades are welcome to participate.
The patron saint of acolytes is St. Vincent who is celebrated on January 22.
The acolytes serve under the authority of Warden of Acolytes
Bob Kissick.
