Pastoral Care
The members of St. Paul's minister to each other in a variety of ways. You can make the day of a shut-in person with a visit or simple phone call. Ease someone's burden after a hospital stay by baking or delivering a casserole. Bring sunshine into a home by delivering the altar flowers a few Sundays a year. Your time is a tremendous gift.
Pastoral Care Committee
The Pastoral Care committee maintains contact with parishioners who, for reasons of age or declining health, are less able to travel to church. Others support the Pastoral Care committee by visiting, telephoning, and writing notes to parishioners who need and deserve our ministry of love. This dedicated group always needs additional volunteers. Please contact
the church office (816-931-2850)..
Care Express
Care Express provides casseroles to parishioners at times such as the birth of a new baby, discharge from the hospital, or a death or medical crisis in the family. This tangible expression of care supports members of our parish family when they need it most. Anyone may help with this ministry by preparing a casserole that can be frozen for several weeks. Alison Martin coordinates storage and deliveries of the meals. Call her at (816) 531-8138 to volunteer.
Flower Delivery
The Flower Delivery Ministry is made up of teams of volunteers who deliver the altar flowers to parishioners who are in the hospital or nursing home. Each team delivers flowers about 4 times a year. New volunteers are always welcome. Anyone interested in joining in this ministry can contact the church secretary,
Joan Watt at (816) 931-2850.
